WHY is your WHY so important as an estate agent?

Well many of us don’t start out thinking we want to become an estate agent.  Life deals and we simply jump into action and get started.  My journey into real estate was not planned.  It came on the back of a retrenchment which in hindsight was a hard problem to deal with.  But it was an absolute blessing to me.

Starting out as an estate agent and not knowing my WHY

I did join 2 agencies and I quickly learned how these agencies simply did not work for me and for many reasons.  I am one of those entitled agents who believe I should be amicably rewarded for the work I do.  No 50/50 or 60/40 will do for me.  And I like that Keller Williams rewards me in a way that I perceive to be amicable. It is my work after all all. And we all know people buy people.  So when I do well I CAP and I earn my full commission.  I like that.  I have my own goals in place which leads me to my WHY.

WHY we do things is more important than you realise as an estate agent

WHY do we get out of bed each morning and face the day with a positive mindset?  Our WHYs are all different, and we all have different journeys to go on.  No 2 WHY’s will be the same.  But when you realise WHY you wake up and do the work of an estate agent, many other little bits fall into place.

Many companies and our colleagues in the industry start with the Microsoft way, which is what.  What we do is pretty similar.  But when you look at WHY you do it, all of a sudden you stand out above the others.  This often creates a little something that is different to your competitors in the property marketplace.
