What balls are you batting as an estate agent? WHY even swing?

There are always a few balls too many in the air if you are an estate agent.  Let’s cover some of the pain points we all face.

  • Trust – can you trust your market centre? Can you trust your fearless leader to always do the right thing by you and the team?
  • Ethics – are the ethics sound and based on doing the right thing?
  • Comm splits – Is your comm split fair especially if you are closing a few deals? Will your comm split always be your comm split? Or can you actually make more money doing exactly what you are doing now?
  • Technology – Are you struggling to keep up with the rate at which technology is changing?
  • Current market – How are you coping with the current market?  It’s been hard for most of us but what input are you getting from your team?
  • Work-life balance – How are you coping with the 7 days a week scenario, late finished and earning morning starts?
  • Your area – Are you really happy with the area that you have been given to work or the type of properties you now work?
  • Do you really feel in control of your business, your strategy and your earnings?
  • Have you got a restraint of trade to consider that you think will somehow prevent you from leaving?
  • Have you got access to all the tools you need to do more with less? Do you know how to navigate CRM and Tech?
  • Do the tools you have access to really add value and make you a better agent?
  • Are you comfortable where you are? Sometimes you think it cannot get better.
  • Are you scared of making a change and it does not work out?
  • Ethics again does your agency and the brand understand this is your listing? Gosh, I have heard horror stories that entitle a colleague to sell your property.
  • Do you need to ask for permission to do anything that you really think will work in your business?
  • Are you stuck with monthly sales meetings where you would rather watch paint dry?
  • Does your chosen brand bug you to come to training that will change the way you run your business and will help you grow into the very best estate agent you can be? But more importantly does your team help you to stay at the top and redefine your goals for your good?
