The CRM platform actually provides not only an open channel of communication but also a proactive approach to my communication.

- Creativity – ideas before results. Now that’s novel. No asking for permission if you really do feel your idea has legs. But actually promoting creativity in the most traditional of all industries. Creativity in the way you source your stock, the way you follow up and I just love that many of these requirements to be successful can be automated. Also, the creativity you unleash on a new valuation and the automation to stay in touch and make sure you are in the right place at the right time. Then also let’s not forget when it gets real and you get a listing but you are extremely busy, no problem, the automated communication that you create is not just helpful but it will actually help you do more with less time. Because even when you are doing something else the technology is working for you and with you. You are always in control and you decide how it’s said and when and how.

- Teamwork – together everyone achieves more. I like this one but I also like that even though I choose to be independent as an estate agent, I have a team that has my back and when I call in the cavalry they will be there when I need them. Our office is centrally located in the Randburg area and they are lovely. All you need including good coffee if you just want to pop in and say hi to someone or scan or print a document quickly while you are on the run.

- Trust – my favourite one of all. Trust starts with honesty. Honesty to your clients, honesty to your team and honesty with yourself. If you are honest with yourself about how you are spending your time and you are willing to ‘step up’ and do more, your productivity will improve and you will earn more. Teamwork for me also speaks to the team you join when you go through some pretty awesome training. Training that will get you to the top with commitment and accountability to your goals to keep you at the top of your game.

- Success – through people. And this could be interpreted differently. Our clients really do trust us to sell their biggest asset. This trust and your honest delivery on your promise to the families you undertake to help in whatever way shape or form. And I say help because everyone has a journey in life and some journeys are tougher than others. The actual responsibility of being mandated to sell a property weighs heavily on me. I have a family that is really trusting me to deliver. When I deliver that spells success to all the people I represent and work with and through.
