Ignite training
I must say we have revamped this training and certainly in terms of how long it takes. You can now conclude your Ignite training at KW Select in 4 sessions over a month from 9am to 3pm. We take the training at your pace and we go down roads you want us to go down. I help with 2 training modules of Ignite training namely:
- The overview – Module 1 of 4 and it’s a summary and a learning in itself.
- Lead generation – Module 2 of 4. And, trust me no matter how old hat or seasoned you are there are always new things happening that are getting your competitors better results. So much has changed in recent years and certainly in terms of POPI and the PPRA’s code of conduct. Staying abreast of lead generation is also multi-faceted. What role does social media play? What is your view on how to find stock? More importantly, is your way working? We provide the tools to measure yourself and to track your performance. No good doing something the same way every single day and expecting a different result. If it’s time to gain a bit of a fresh approach to what is working worldwide then by all means reach out. You never know you may just find the magic ingredient you have been missing for a long time. Tracking your performance and taking responsibility for your outcomes and your results, namely what you take home is the most fantastic feeling. Am I ahead or am I behind? Well honestly, I would rather be ahead. But being ahead also means that you need to stay ahead. - Lead follow-up – Module 3 of 4. And well this is probably my best topic of all for Ignite and one I do feel I do well as an estate agent. Contrary to popular belief, most people focus on lead gen but spend too little time following up on leads. What I just love about the Keller Williams CRM platform is that this process for me is automated. I don’t need to worry about forgetting my follow-up because I can automate my communication and stay in touch. Being in the right place at the right time with the right info has never been easier. How you follow up, what you say, how you say it and again measuring your results is what gets you to the top and keeps you there.
- The process and the transfer – Module 4 of 4. Then Michelle our top performer at KW Select runs us through Transfers and the process. Michelle an ex-conveyancer is more qualified to share this info than any agent out there. She is not just a superstar in action but she knows her stuff. She navigates this topic effortlessly and it’s quite mind-blowing the little tips and more food for thought that she can share with us all.
International training from Elio in Texas
I remember a call I was invited to join as an estate agent within Keller Williams. A guy called Ellio Alanis was under the age of 30 at the time. He joined Keller Williams at the start of COVID. Can you imagine that? But Elio soon became one of the top estate agents in Texas because of the work he did on Instagram. Over 200 sales. How does he even do that and he works as a solo estate agent? Who would have thought? You can look him up. He is a superstar and he only uses Instagram to do his lead generation. His approach is simple yet effective. What I love is that on a monthly basis at least there is at least 1 planned call where estate agents from all over the world hop on a call and where you learn what best practice is in so many different ways. I love that I get to learn from the best and the comfort of my own home. Oh, and these calls are recorded so if you miss the call you can watch when do have the time. Trust me learning from the best of the best has certainly honed my What and my How. Not hard stuff either but learning on my own would have taken time and I doubt I would have been able to think of the little pearls that Elio shared with me.
International training from the most successful team in the world, Portugal
Another fantastic session was with a team in Portugal. Not just any team. The most successful team in the world. And that day we were learning about how Team Marta approaches social media and marketing. Well to say I was blown away was an understatement. Not going to make a big deal about this but our attorneys do bring us up to speed with some of the boring stuff we need to know about like tax, compliance, POPI, and FICA. May be boring to learn about but it’s essential to deliver superb knowledgeable solutions and services as an estate agent on all fronts.
